What really enhances the young people is their ability to visualize their activity in real ecenomic environment. Learnin by doing that is what we mean by students` firms within the frames of the economics study subject, that is the way to creative active attitude in each student.
To promote the development of student companies we must provide them with theoretical knwledge and understanding the processes in Europe, how young people acquire business basics in other countries.
Considering the role of ICT in education Moodle platform will be used for co-operation of the countries which is one of the most popular study sites in the world. Studying is more successful if people co-operate and the process is creative.
During the project modern and up-to-date teaching materials will be created in ecenomics subject, they will demonstrate the different approaches to teaching economics and acquiring the basics of small businesses.
The project will assist schools approach study models which prepare students better for work and life, accentuating the skills people need and use during their lifetime.That is the change from learning facts to acquiring life skills.
New materials will be used as e-study materials, students will acquire distance study methods. Electronic material will help students acquire the most complicated material when when they feel ready ready for that in favourable circumstances, they will have a possibility to learn the theme in their native language and then in English.
To achieve the aims the following activities in Moodle will be used
- Electronic teaching material will be prepared in the native language and in English
- Preparation of theoretical material
- Self-assessment tasks,tests with open and closed questions, essays, analytical tasks
- Webinar about student firms, demonstration, eLectaLive
- 5 simulation games will be worked out
The other targer group are teachers, school leadership. That will be a possibility to develop teachers` skills and knwledge to make the best of digital education, develop skills and courage to make new digital study materials, tools. Co-operation of the teachers will promote dynamics of the education process and variety of ideas thus supporting the development of schools.
Objectives of the project
- To work out the themes for the business basics related to the skills of the young people and their interests based on the entrepreneurial skill development, to prevent dropping out of school because of out-dated methodologies.
- Work out innovative pedagogical approach creating students` self-assessment system adopted into the formal education process.
The aim is actual for the schools of European education system, teachers, and students.
It is clear that the requirements to education have changed emphasizing not the curriculum but the skills and abilities necessary in the 21st century but also making basis for development of personality which will enable students to find employment and integrate into social life.
It is a great challenge for school teachers to notice the different needs not neglecting those who need support to develop their abilities. One of the issues Europe faces today is young people quitting school even without elementary education. It has various reasons – economic, social, pedagogical and psychological. The reason, as both teachers and students explain, is lack of motivation, reluctance to learn and passively reflect the drawbacks of the education system to link the contents of the academic studies with real life. It is essential to improve access to education and at the same time strengthen the motivation to learn and not only during the obligatory school years, but enjoy the thirst for knowledge throughout their lives.
It is vital to improve motivation and make the study process more attractive, strengthening the link between school and real life.
The project activities will enhance students` entrepreneurial skills thus enabling them to see themselves in the European job market and providing them with more motivation to study.

Nowadays, it is essential to find transition from learning facts to acquiring real life skills which will prepare young people for life and motivate to study.
The schools involved in the project are with different experience in developing young people entrepreneurial skills and in approaches to career education.
The schools together work on a cooperation model: school – municipality council – entrepreneurs. An important aspect – students while participating in project activities investigate entrepreneurship environment and job market.
The project intends to involve all subject teachers, not only economics and social science teachers, as entrepreneurial skills are developed in various situations and every teacher can contribute.
The main result – informal study tool – learning platform on Moodle with a certification possibility „Young people „Entrepreneurship skill development possibilities”.
The Project unites students and teachers from 5 countries – Latvia, Romania, Turkey, Spain and Croatia.
The target group – young people, aged 15 – 19.
Study materials will be available in 6 languages – Latvian, Spanish, Romanian, Turkish, Croatian and English.
